European distribution: Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine ( Novák et al. 2019, WPC 2024).
Notes: Neobisium carpaticum is known from leaf litter and soil of oak-hornbeam forests in the Malé Karpaty Mts. ( ChristophoryovÁ 2013). The new sampling sites in Bratislava are located in VajnorskÁ hora, and the species was found in leaf litter and fallen bark.
