Body cylindrical, moderately tapering posteriorly, covered with small and sparse granules, female distinctly larger and more robust than male. Head unarmed, dorsoventrally flattened. Thorax slender with sparse granules. Abdomen cylindrical, tapering posteriorly, wrinkled and covered with sparse granules. Seventh sternum lacking noticeable praeopercular organ in female. Legs slender and long; unarmed, densely covered with long bristles. Profemora incurved basally, shorter than mesonotum. Mesofemora slimmer than profemora and metafemora. Medioventral carina of all femora elevated. Tegmina and alae indistinct and scalelike. Egg capsule oblong. Micropylar plate oval.   Distribution. China( Guangxi, Guizhouand Yunnan).  Notes. Hennemann et al.(2008a)considered  DianphasmaChen & He, 1997to be a synonym of  Parasosibia Redtenbacher, 1908and Ho (2013a)reinstated it as a valid genus. Currently,  Dianphasmais only known from Chinaand four species are recognised. Both sexes of  D. cheniHo, 2013are recognised while other three species are only known from female specimens.
