Etymology.
Named after the Yakkha (Sanskrit: Yaksha), guardians of buried treasures (in reference to amber) from Burmese mythology.
Diagnosis.
As provided by Gu et al. (2022) for Magnidactylus , which the authors based on the specimens now assigned to Yakkhapipteryx .
