Notes: This species was transferred from Xyleborus to Ambrosiodmus by Bright & Skidmore (2002) without valid argument by the authors. We retain the name Xyleborus katangensis in this catalogue. This species is listed as being present in South Africa by Wood & Bright (1992). However, we have been unable to locate the original publication record of the species in the country. Additional work will be required to determine if the species is truly present in the country.
