Xizicus (Eoxizicus) mangshanensis sp. nov., Chinese name ąƜ东AEdz
( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 )
Description. Male. Body small. Head. Fastigium verticis conical, dorsal surface with a median longitudinal sulcus, apex rounded. Eyes globular, protruding forward. Apical segment of maxillary palpus almost as long as subapical one, apical area inflated.
Thorax. Pronotum with anterior margin straight, posterior margin rounded. Lateral lobe longer than high, posterior margin with humeral sinus. Thoracic auditory spiracle exposed, reniform.
Tegmina and wings. Tegmina narrow, surpassing apices of hind femora, apices rounded; hind wings slightly longer than tegmina.
Legs. All femora unarmed on ventral surfaces. Fore coxa with 1 spine, fore tibia with 5 external and 4 internal long spines on ventral surface, bearing 1 pair of short ventral apical spurs; tibial tympana open on both sides. Ventral surface of middle tibia with 4 inner and 5 outer long spines, bearing 1 pair of short ventral apical spurs. Genicular lobes of hind femur with apices rounded on both sides. Internal and external margins of hind tibia with 18–20 short spines on dorsal surface respectively, bearing 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs.
Abdomen. Tenth abdominal tergite with posterior margin concave, bearing 1 pair of relatively short posterior processes ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ). Cercus long and moderately incurved, base stout, with a small lamellate projection proximally on inner margin of dorsal surface, possessing a lamellar extension on internal margin of ventral surface near middle area, apical half finger-like, moderately curved inwards and upwards, apex rounded ( Fig. 1C–F View FIGURE 1 ). Basal margin of subgenital plate acutely concave, posterior margin with a concavity and 1 pair of slender and long lateral lobes ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ). Styli comparatively short, conical and apices slightly acute, inserted on apices of lateral lobes of subgenital plate.
Coloration. Body light green. Pronotal disc with a pair of longitudinal blackish brown stripes. Apices of genicular lobes of hind femora black. All spines and spurs of hind tibiae brown.
Female. Unknown.

Discussion. This new species is similar to Xizicus (Eoxizicus) choui ( Liu & Zhang, 2000) , but it differs from the latter in the following: male cercus with a small subtrapezoidal projection on inner margin of dorsal surface near base, possessing a lamellar extension on internal margin of ventral surface near middle area; posterior margin of subgenital plate with a concavity and 1 pair of slender lateral lobes.
This new species also resembles Xizicus (Eoxizicus) taiwanensis Chang, Du & Shi, 2013 , the difference is: the latter cercus is without a lamellar extension on internal margin of ventral surface near the middle area.
Etymology. The name of the new species is named for the type locality.
