Trogaspidia retinula Chen, 1957:174 , ♀, holotype ♀ (Taipei, Taiwan) [TARI].
Radoszkowskius retinulus : Lelej 2005 85; Hua 2006: 300.
Wallacidia retinula : Lo Cascio 2015: 564; Okayasu et al. 2018: 307, ♀; Pagliano et al. 2020: 295; Boutin & Vilhelmsen 2024: supplementary table S2, S3, ♀.
Material examined. 1♀. Vietnam: VINH PHUC: Melinh , 21°23'N 105°42'E, alt. 56 m, 20.VII.2010, J. Kantoh leg. [1♀ ELKU] GoogleMaps .
Identification source. Compared with types [ TARI] .
Previous record. None.
Distribution. China. Taiwan. Vietnam *: Vinh Phuc.
Occurrence in Vietnam. July. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests ecoregion. 56 m alt.
Sex association. Male unknown. Lelej (2005) suggested that this species could be the female of Wallacidia conversa ( Chen, 1957) , presumably because Wa. conversa and Wa. retinula are the only species of the genus occurring in China and Taiwan aside from Wa. oculata .
Remarks. This species was described based on seven females from China and Taiwan ( Chen 1957). The Vietnamese female was compared with the type specimens, and no noticeable variation was observed.
Genus Zavatilla Tsuneki, 1993
urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:E7B51D45-C193-49BE-A9C8-D1EDA9421926
Smicromyrme (Zavatilla) Tsuneki, 1993: 42 , ♂. Type species: Mutilla gutrunae Zavattari, 1913 (♂), by original designation. Zavatilla : Lelej 1995a: 2; Lelej 2005: 77, ♂ ♀; Zhou et al. 2018b: 102, ♂ ♀; Pagliano et al. 2020: 295.
Diversity and distribution. This genus includes four Oriental species ( Zhou et al. 2018b). Zavatilla xuzaifui Zhou, Lelej & Williams, 2018 is the only species occurring in Southeast Asia.
Remarks. This genus was reviewed by Zhou et al. (2018b).
