Troglocharinus españoli elongatus Zariquiey, 1950 View in CoL
Troglocharinus españoli ssp. elongatus Zariquiey, 1950: 200 View in CoL ; figs. 1c, 2e, 4e.
Current accepted name
Troglocharinus elongatus elongatus Zariquiey, 1950 View in CoL : Fresneda & Salgado, 2016: 188.
Type locality
Cova del Mandil [original citation: “Prov. de Tarragona: Cova del Mandil, término municipal de Querol part. Judicial de Montblanch”].
Type material
Syntypes: MZB 71-2389 / MZB 71-2400 (8 ♂♂, 9 ♀♀), type loc., 24-IX-1934, F. Español leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).
Remarks
Zariquiey (1950) neither specifies the number of specimens in the type series nor establishes a holotype. He indicates that the “Tipos” are deposited in his own personal collection. In the MCNB collection we have found eight males and nine females, without labels indicating that they belong to the type series, which correspond to the 17 specimens cited by Escolà (1969). The collection data (mostly hand-written by Zariquiey), well as the original deposit of the material in his collection, nevertheless, allow us to attribute them to the type series.
