Distribution. India: Himachal Pradesh (Dalhousie, Dharamshala, Kullu, Sultanpur), Uttarakhand ( Hampson 1908). Global: China, Nepal ( Hampson 1908, Yoshimoto 1994).

Type species: Anarta ladakensis Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874 : pl. 108, gig. 38, by original designation.
= Ala Staudinger, 1882: 49 View in CoL (TS: Ala picteti Staudinger, 1882: 49 ). Ala Staudinger View in CoL is a junior homonym of Ala Lockington, 1877: 65 (Crustacea) View in CoL . There is no objective replacement name but A. picteti is congeneric with Anarta ladakensis Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874 , the type species of Trichanarta Hampson, 1896 View in CoL . The latter should therefore be used as the subjective replacement name ( Nye 1975).
