Stock fusiform. Plant often more or less sericeous-villous, with rather soft hairs up to 4 mm and shorter straight and hooked hairs and setae. Stem 12-45 cm, unwinged. Lower leaves rather longpetiolate, the upper sessile, not or scarcely decurrent. Calyx

7-5-12 mm, lobed to f-£. Corolla (14—) 15—17(—18) mm, white. Scales (3)3-5^4- 5(5) mm, triangular-lanceolate, gradually nar­ rowed to the apex, the margin densely papillose throughout, the papillae not more than 1 £ times as long as wide. Stamens 4-5 mm; anthers 2-5-4 mm; filament mostly shorter than anther. In = 30. • S. Aegean region (Naxos). Gr.
