TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype. New Caledonia • 1 ♂; Touho TV tower; 20°47’23”S, 165°15’0”E; 27.XI.2003 - 30.I.2004; Monteith leg.; flight intercept; MNHN-EO-CAELIF11318. GoogleMaps

TYPE LOCALITY. — Province Nord, Touho TV tower area.

DISTRIBUTION. — Known only from a single specimen from the type locality.

ETYMOLOGY. — The specific epithet is the Latin adjective sōlus , meaning “alone, only”. The name references the fact that only a single specimen of this species is known.

DIAGNOSIS. — Currently inseparable from the generic diagnosis.
