Type material

Holotype ♂: MZB 78-2067, type loc., 17-VI-1950, F. Español leg.

Paratypes: MZB 78-2068 / MZB 78-2075 (8 ♀♀), type loc., 17-VI-1950 and 24-IX-1950, F. Español leg.

Remarks

According to Español (1955), the type series includes 11 paratypes (all female), eight of which have been located in the MCNB collection. On the collection label of the holotype (the only male, cited as “Tipo”, article 73.1.1.) appears the date September 1950, which does not correspond to published capture date (17 June 1950). The same occurs in the case of the paratypes except for MZB 78-2075 whose label does include the date 17 June 1950 (according to Español, 1955, five paratypes were collected along with a male, the rest being collected on 24 September 1950). Español (1953b) mentions the new subspecies in the section “Índice cronológico de los trabajos publicados (1952)” [Chronological index of articles published (1952)] in which he reports the on-going study of the corresponding material, and indicates the title and journal of publication. The name becomes available with the publication of the description (article 13.1.1).
