Type locality

Cova Fosca (de Vilanova) [original citation: “... dans une petite grotte, située sur le revers méridional de la sierra de Montsech, dans le bassin du rio Segre, nommée «Cova Fosca», près de Villanova di Meya (partido de Balaguer, provincia de Lerida)”].

Type material

Syntypes: MZB 78-2646 (1 ♂), type loc., 8-IX-1910, R. Jeannel & E. G. Racovitza leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).

Remarks

Type series consisting of 13 specimens originally deposited in the Biospeologica collection ( Jeannel, 1910a, 1924a). The specimen in the MCNB has a label with the inscription “ TYPE ” printed in red letters and hand-written collection labels. In the MNHNP’s general collection (box 72) we have found at least one specimen with identical collection labels and with a red label with the inscription “ TYPE ” printed in black letters.
