Description of species
Male. As in generic description with some exceptional species characters as follows–vertex yellow, shagreen anteriorly with six small reddish-brown spots arranged in a linear fashion on the anterior margin. Eyes whitish dorsally, with two orange stripes on the entire lateral length running parallelly. Anterior margin of pronotum with five irregularly shaped reddish-orange spots ( Fig. 5A–C View FIGURE 5 ). Outer anteapical cell large, divided into 3 sub-cells by cross veins, apex acuminate. Inner anteapical cell closed basally ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ).
Male genitalia. Pygofer with C-shaped dorsal appendage directed postero-ventrally, bifurcated basally with pointed apex, postero-caudally with two dark stout submarginal thickened setae, below which with many marginal macrosetae; more than 8 macrosetae near dorsal margin ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Subgenital plate usually broad basally, with an oblique uniseriate row of 5 macrosetae restricted to basal half, gradually narrowed from mid-posteriorly ( Fig. 5F View FIGURE 5 ). Style basal margin of preapical lobe not overlapping inner margin of apophysis ( Fig. 5I View FIGURE 5 ). Aedeagal shaft spatulate, broad at apex with paired medio-lateral, short, acuminate process, closely apprised to the shaft. Gonopore ventro-apical ( Fig. 5G–H View FIGURE 5 ).
Measurements. Male 4.13 mm long, 1.18 mm wide across eyes and 0.96 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.

Etymology. This species epithet is named after Dr. Naresh M. Meshram’s son, “Abeer”.
Remarks. This species is recorded only from the type locality. Species delimiting characters with S. spatulata sp. nov. is elaborated in the discussion. Due to the unavailability of more specimens (only Holotype) DNA Barcoding of Shanaya abeeri sp. nov. could not be undertaken.
