After the last checklist (Mirab-balou et al., 2011a), 11 species have been added to the fauna of China. In addition, Sericothrips cingulatus Hind, 1902 was a misidentification of S. houji (see Mirab-balou et al., 2013c). Therefore, Sericothripinae includes 37 species belonging to the following three genera.
