Type material. Holotype ♂ (MHBUARA-2024-464-1), Xizang, Medog County, Drepung Town , 29.1805°N, 95.1422°E, 1681.4 m elev., 23 June 2024, leg. K. Yu, H. Zhang and Y. Zhang. GoogleMaps Paratypes. 4♂ 2♀ (MHBUARA-2024-464-2‒7), same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific name is in honor to Prof. Yang Zhong (1964‒2017), a botanist who made remarkable contributions to the conservation of biodiversity in Xizang.
Diagnosis. See S. tongbiguan Zhang & Zhang sp. nov.
Description. Male holotype ( Figs 4A‒B View FIGURE 4 , 5A‒D View FIGURE 5 ) total length 6.32; prosoma 3.38 long, 2.43 wide; opisthosoma 2.94 long, 1.58 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.11, ALE 0.13, PME 0.14, PLE 0.13; AME‒AME 0.10, AME‒ALE 0.04, ALE‒ALE 0.34, PME‒PME 0.11, PME‒PLE 0.11, PLE‒PLE 0.60, ALE‒PLE 0.07. OAW 0.75, CRW 1.30, OAW/CRW 0.58, MOA 0.35 long, anterior width 0.30, posterior width 0.37. CH 0.12, CH /AME 1.09. Chelicera promargin with three teeth, retromargin with two teeth. Labium 0.45 long, 0.35 wide. Sternum 1.64 long, 1.33 wide. Leg measurements: Ⅰ 9.60 (2.64, 1.26, 2.23, 2.04, 1.43), II 8.42 (2.31, 1.21, 1.86, 1.85, 1.19), III 7.63 (2.24, 1.03, 1.48, 1.97, 0.91), IV 10.61 (3.02, 1.37, 2.21, 2.95, 1.06); leg formula 4123. Leg spination: femora: Ⅰ d1-1-1, p0-0-2; II d1-1-1; III d1-1-1, p0-1-1, r1-1-1; IV d1-1-1, p0-1-1, r1-1-1. Tibiae: Ⅰ p0-1-1, v2-2-2; II p0-1-1, v2-2-2; III d1-0-0, p1-1-0, r1-1-0, v2-2-2; IV d1-0-0, p1-1-0, r1-1-0, v2-2-2. Metatarsi: Ⅰ p0-1-0, v2-2-0; II p0-1-0, v2-2-0; III d2-2-2, p1-1-1, r1-1-1, v2-2-2; IV d2-2-2, p1-1-1, r1-1-1, v2-2-2. Opisthosoma dorsally grey, with a pair of white vertical stripes at anterior center, five white stripes medially, and five white horizontal stripes laterally on each side.
Palp ( Figs 6A‒C View FIGURE 6 , 8B View FIGURE 8 ). Cymbial concavity shallow, about 1/3 times as long as cymbium. The posterior elongation of tegulum extending backward to median part of tibia. Embolus whiplike, originating at 8-o’clock-position, extending clockwise to 1-o’clock-position, then curving anteriad in ventral view and possessing three small embolic teeth on its distal 2/3 part. Conductor fan-shaped.
Female paratype ( Figs 4C‒D View FIGURE 4 , 5E View FIGURE 5 , MHBUARA-2024-464-6) total length 6.56; prosoma 3.60 long, 2.36 wide, cephalic region elevated. Opisthosoma 4.55 long, 2.66 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.12, ALE 0.15, PME 0.13, PLE 0.13; AME ‒ AME 0.10, AME ‒ ALE 0.04, ALE ‒ ALE 0.38, PME ‒ PME 0.14, PME ‒ PLE 0.14, PLE ‒ PLE 0.66, ALE ‒ PLE 0.06. OAW 0.82, CRW 1.52 , OAW/ CRW 0.54, MOA 0.37 long, anterior width 0.32, posterior width 0.39. CH 0.09, CH / AME 0.75. Labium 0.52 long, 0.45 wide. Sternum 1.69 long, 1.40 wide. Leg measurements: I 8.01 (2.30, 1.28, 1.86, 1.57, 1.00), II 7.48 (2.19, 1.15, 1.68, 1.50, 0.96), III 6.98 (1.99, 1.03, 1.47, 1.72, 0.77), IV 9.91 (2.86, 1.32, 2.20, 2.58, 0.95); leg formula 4123. Leg spination: femora: Ⅰ d1-1-1, p0-0-3; II d1- 1-1, p0-0-1; III d1-1-1, p0-1-1, r0-0-1; IV d1-1-1, p0-1-1, r0-0-1. Tibiae : Ⅰ v0-1-1; II v0-1-1; III d1-0-0, p1-1-0, r1- 1-0, v2-2-2; IV d1-0-0, p1-1-0, r1-1-0, v2-2-2. Metatarsi: Ⅰ v2-2-0; II v2-2-1; III d2-2-2, p1-1-1, r1-1-1, v2-2-2; IV d2-2-2, p1-1-1, r1-1-1, v2-2-2. Prosoma color as in male, opisthosoma dorsally brownish-yellow, without distinct patterns .
Epigyne ( Fig. 6D‒E View FIGURE 6 ). Epigynal plate length about 1.5 times width. Atrium width about four times its length in ventral view. Primary spermatheca spherical, secondary spermatheca ovoid-shaped, smaller than primary spermatheca. Copulatory duct nearly straight. Bursa drop-shaped.
