Holotype ( MHNG + 6 specimens labeled syntypes [P. Schwendinger, pers. comm.; examined]); type locality: Mexican plateau .
Original rank: species. Current rank and status: synonym of S. viridis Say, 1821 ( Kraepelin 1903, Brölemann 1909, Attems 1930, Bücherl 1942 a, Shelley 2002).
Anatomical illustrations: Saussure (1960, pl. 6, figs. 42, 42c), Daday (1893, pl. 5, fig. 8).
Remarks: This name was omitted by Bücherl (1974).
