Holotype (ZMB [ Moritz & Fischer 1979]); type locality: Sierra de la Victoria south of La Paz , Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Original rank: species. Current rank and status: valid species ( Bücherl 1942 a).
Anatomical illustrations: Verhoeff (1934, pl. 5, figs. 97–98).
Distribution: also occurring at Topolobampo, south of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Maps: none.
Remarks: This species was omitted by Bücherl (1974) and overlooked by Shelley (2002). It is potentially a synonym of S. viridis Say, 1821 , S. polymorpha Wood, 1861 , or Arthrorhabdus pygmaeus ( Pocock, 1895) , all of which occur in Baja California Sur ( Shelley 2002, Shelley & Chagas 2004).
