Notes:— Brandbyge (1986) excludes this as a nomen nudum. The name is listed in Flora Brasiliensis (1855) , along with others, as synonymous with Ruprechtia laurifolia . Meisner (1855) gives no description of the plant but does cite a specimen along with the name, “in Claussen Pl. exsicc. n 2024”. We were unable to locate this specimen.
