Like 24 but stem short, slender, more or less simple; basal leaves small, more than twice as long as wide, rounded or cuneate (rarely indistinctly cordate) at base; valves 4-5 x 3-4 mm. 2« = c. 200. Marshes. N. Russia. Rs (N) (Arcticcircumpolar).
