Leaves 3-5 x 1-3 cm, ovate to suborbicular, more or less truncate at the base, entire or obscurely crenate; petiole 1-4 cm. Scapes 6-8 cm, glandular-pubescent, with 1-3 flowers. Calyx-lobes 4-6; corolla 3-3-5 cm in diameter, rotate, with 4(-5) patent lobes, lilac to violet, with an orange-yellow centre. Anthers 2-5-3 mm, obtuse, yellow (sometimes slightly tinged with blue). Style c. 3 mm; capsule c. 9 mm. 2« = 48. Shady rock-crevices. 9 S. Jugoslavia and N. Greece. Gr Ju.
