Typus.

JAPAN • Okinawa Prefecture, Iriomote island ; in litter on the forest floor; 1992; T. Matsushima ( holotype MFC-2 J 039 ) .

Notes.

Due to its unique obpyriform to turbinate conidia, which are septate, pale olivaceous, and olivaceous in mass ( Matsushima 1995), this species is readily distinguished from other members of the genus.
