Description: Evolute coiling with quadrilateral whorl section, the flanks slightly converging towards venter in some specimens. Radiate to slightly proradiate, relatively sharp ribs with small tubercles on the latero-ventral edge. Te tubercles can be very strong on early juvenile whorls. Ribs are curved forward on the venter, approaching the keel. Ventral side almost flat in the innermost stout whorls with low blunt keel, which becomes stronger and crenulated later.
Occurrence: Apyrenum Subzone of the Spinatum Zone (Meister, 1988) . It occurs in North-West Europe in UK, France and Poland, and in Western Tethys in Bulgary, and the Czech Republic (Outer Western Carpathians).
