Host

Unknown.

Distribution

China (Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan, Ningxia, Taiwan, Yunnan, Zhejiang).

Remarks

The female holotype from China ( Taiwan, Wushe, elev. 1150 m) was not examined because the original description (in combination with the additional Chinese specimens listed above) was sufficient for the recognition of this species ( Zettel 1989). There are eighteen females agreeing with the description of P. townesi , except for the body length (3.0–4.0 mm vs 3.4–4.5 mm for the types), as well as fourteen males.
