Type species. Lophotilla comparanda Bischoff, 1920 (male), by automatic designation (see Peringueyella Nonveiller & Ć etković, 1995).

Taxonomic history. Replacement name for Peringueyella Nonveiller & Ć etković, 1995 not Saussure,

1888. Junior subjective synonym of Acanthomutilla Nonveiller, 1995 (female). New synonymy.

Subjectively invalid name.

Sex association. The female of the type species is here associated and identified (as Pristomutilla curtis-

pinosa Bischoff, 1921: 526) by DJB (see under Acanthomutilla Nonveiller, 1995 ).

Distribution. Afrotropical.
