Type material. Holotype: NHMD 153508 with label ' Ciidae, C. V. Hennigsen / 14-11-1959 ', Danish amber, late Eocene.

Etymology. The epithet of this new species is dedicated to outstanding hymenopterist Lars Vilhelmsen, keeper of NHMD amber collection.

Description. Body black, oblong-oval, convex dorsally, with bristles. Clypeus without teeth. Forehead convex, wide, finely punctate. Eyes well protruded, coarsely faceted, about 0.7 times as long as wide. Antennae clavate, extend beyond middle of pronotum, ten-segmented. Antennomeres first and second suboval. Third antennomere long-oval. Fourth antennomere oval, about 0.8 times as long as antennomere three. Antennomeres four-nine suboval, transverse. Antennal club consists of antennomeres eight–ten. Tenth antennomere about 1.5 times as long as antennomere nine. Pronotum almost trapezoid, of same length as wide across apex, about 0.8 times as long as wide across middle and about 0.7 times as long as wide across base. Lateral margins narrow, slightly explanate, visible for their entire lengths from above, lacking bristles. Disc with large and small punctures. Scutellum small, subpentagonal. Elytra oval, coarsely punctate, with lateral margins subparallel at basal three-fourths, then converging and forming moderately acute apex, widest at middle, about 2.2 times as long as wide across base, about 1.5 times as long as wide across middle, about 2.4 times as long as wide across apical fourth, about 3.3 times as long as pronotum, with indistinct humeri. Elytral striae absent. Metaventrite weakly convex, about 2.5 times as long as length of mesocoxal cavity, sparsely punctate. Metepisternum narrow, with row of punctures. Abdomen convex. Legs long. Femora clavate. Protibiae untoothed on the outer edge. Apex of protibiae simply rounded. Tarsi long, four-segmented. Last tarsomere very long. Body length: 1.3 mm.

Comparison. The new species differs from Orthocis kompantsevi sp. nov. in having a bristly body, a densely punctate pronotum and elytra, and longer antennomere nine.
