Melolontha haemorrhoa Thunberg, 1818: 427 .

Type material examined. Lectotype (here designated). ♂ “ Uppsala Univ. Zool. Mus. Thunbergsaml. nr. 3805 Melolontha haemorrhoa Cap. TYP ” ( UUZM).

Remarks. The here designated lectotype specimen was the only available syntype specimen.
