In the original description Mihelčič (1949) reported the presence of characters 3, 7, 9, 10. This species has transverse bands of cuticular pores (pearls) that are present in several Minibiotus species (e.g., Minibiotus poricinctus Claxton, 1998 , Minibiotus keppelensis Claxton, 1998 , Minibiotus gumersindoi Guil & Guidetti, 2005 ) and a smaller number of Macrobiotus species (e.g., Macrobiotus lazzaroi ).
