Perennial. Stems up to 100 cm, erect, simple. Leaves 7-13 x 2- 4-5 cm, alternate, ovate-lanceolate, subsessile, sparsely pubescent, dotted with black glands. Flowers in a terminal raceme; pedicels l |- 3 times as long as the flowers. Calyx 2-3 mm; lobes ovate, obtuse, with white margins. Corolla 5-7-5 mm, white; lobes lanceolate to spathulate, obtuse. Stamens half as long as the corolla. Capsule c. 2 mm, subglobose; style stout, persistent. Naturalized in shady places in the Netherlands. [Ho.] (E. Asia.)11
