Plant 10-22 cm, glabrous, with densely leafy, somewhat woody, basal branches 4-12 cm. Leaves 10-16x 2-3 mm, narrowly spathulate. Inflorescence 6-10 cm; non-flowering branches numerous, incurved. Spikes 0-5-2 cm, with 1 -3 spikelets per cm; spikelets l(-2)-flowered. Bracts with narrow hyaline margin; inner bract c. 3 -5 mm, cuculiate; outer bract c. 0- 8 mm, overlapping j of the inner. Calyx 3 - 8-4-2 mm; limb as long as the tube. Rocky slopes up to 600 m. • Pantelleria. Si.
