Note. In Rino (1969), illustrations in Pl. 3, figs 1 & 3 is of L. ovum , but figs. 2 & 4 is L. gracillicauda (Deflandre) Zakryś & Łukomska in Łukomska-Kowalczyk et al. 2020a. Based on molecular data no varieties exist for Lepocinclis ovum , therefore all varieties described in Huber-Pestalozzi (1929) are included into the type of Lepocinclis ovum .
