Leichhardteus reinhardi Baehr & Raven, 2013: 356 View in CoL , figs 2G, 9A–K, 12. Diagnosis. Differs from all other species in the entirely black abdomen dorsally and in the extent of the black area on the carapace.
Supplementary description. Males with only three pairs of spines or with additional single distal spine on ventral tibiae I; tibiae II of male and I and II of females with four pairs of spines, with distal pair much smaller; spines on ventral cymbium retrolaterally near embolus tip. Paracymbial spine broad, thumb-like, distinct. Cheliceral fang shield in female low with long slender serrate bristles. Femora III and IV of male with slight distal constriction, not in female. Tracheal spiracle of male broadly rounded, triangular in female. Dorsal scute for 0.7 of abdomen.
Distribution & Habitat. Known only from Orchid Beach, Fraser Island, south-east Queensland, a hilltop area of heath mixed with eucalypts and Banksia in which the otherwise rainforest-loving hexathelid, Hadronyche infensa (Hickman, 1964) , is also found.
