Remark. Although Patwardhan & Athalye (2012a: 53) referred to a specimen of this species in NHML as the ‘Type’, the specimen’s data labels do not bear a type label. Furthermore, the type is not listed in NHML’s official records (as per the list shared by M. Barclay and M. Geiser). Therefore, the type depository remains unknown. Non-type specimens are deposited in HNHM from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, and in ZSI from West Bengal. Based on the information provided by Candèze (1890: cxlvi), Candèze (1892: 481), Hayek (1973: 273), and Parekar et al. (2024: 57), the locality is added as Jharkhand. Konbir is a village in the Gumla district of Jharkhand. As the presence of this species in Sikkim requires confirmation, this locality is not included here.
