Type locality: Friedrich Willhelm- shafen [= Madang] ( Papua New Guinea). Lectotype ♀ HNHM. Lectotype designated by McAlpine 1970: 442.
Distribution : Australasian-Oceanian (USA – Hawai‘i, Papua New Guinea, Australia - New South Wales), Indomalayan ( India), Afrotropical ( United Arab Emirates). Combination by McAlpine 1962: 120 (as metatarsata View in CoL ?) Note 22.
aurea , authors, not Macquart 1851, misidentification.
