Figs. 4–5 View FIGURE 4 View FIGURE 5

Kamimuria miaolingensis Du & Wang, 2007 View in CoL , Insects from Leigongshan Landscape, 86–87; Stark & Sivec, 2013: 117; Yang & Li, 2018: 31.

Male. Colouration generally brown ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ). The head is brown with three ocelli, ocellar patch dark brown (color faded due to prolonged storage in alcohol). Antenna brown; palpi pale brown. Pronotum brown with scattered rugosities. Wing membranes pale yellow, veins yellow-brown.

Body length 16–16.5 mm (n = 2). Tergum 1–7 unmodified. Tergum 8 sometimes contains a few sensilla basiconica in its central region. Tergum 9 features a sensilla basiconica patch extending to near the anterior margin. The hemitergal lobe is slender and finger-like, with the apex slightly recurved, reaching the posterior margin of tergum 9 ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ).

The penis is membranous, with a small square sclerite at the center of the ventral surface of the proximal part of the penile tube ( Fig. 5A, C View FIGURE 5 ). The base and dorsal apex of the endophallus are adorned with numerous large spines, with those at the dorsal apex being rhombic in shape. A narrow, spine-free longitudinal region runs along the middle of the ventral surface of the endophallus, ending a spine-free membranous projection at its apex.

Female, egg and nymph. Unknown.

Material examined. Holotype: 1 male ( ICYZU), China: Guizhou Province, Leishan County, Leigongshan National Forest Park, Lianhua Ping , 27.3021°N, 106.3247°E, 1450–1620 m, 2005.IX.13-15, Chunxia Xiao, Jinyu Zheng GoogleMaps . Paratype: 1 male ( ICYZU), same data as holotype GoogleMaps .

Distribution. China (Guizhou).

Remarks. Due to the type material being preserved in alcohol for nearly 20 years, the membranous projection at the apex of the ventral side of the penis has shrunk into a mass, and the sclerite along the penile shaft are no longer clearly visible. We selected the well-preserved paratype for clear images of the penis to facilitate future identification efforts, thereby making the process more convenient and efficient ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ).
