Habitat:—The species was collected in glades in the Araucaria Forest and Atlantic Rainforest.
Geographic distribution:— Campina Grande do Sul: G. Hatschbach 16404 (MBM!). Laranjeiras do Sul: G. Hatschbach & O. Guimarães 19295 (MBM!).
Number of gatherings:—2. Most recent record:—1968.
Preliminary conservation status:—Critically endangered (CR – B2ab[ii,iii]). AOO = 8 km 2.
