Distribution in Iran: Iran ( Peck, 1988), Fars ( Alichi et al., 2000; Gharali et al., 2000), Khuzestan ( Dousti, 1999; Dousti et al., 2000), Semnan ( Mehrabi & Ssymank, 2008), Guilan ( Bagheri, 2007), Zanjan ( Naderloo, 2010), Sistan & Baluchistan ( Hoodiani, 2010), Lorestan ( Bahirai, 2011), Kurdistan ( Hasanbeigi, 2012), Alborz ( Hezarkhani, 2013 as its synonym Simosyrphus scutellaris ), Kerman ( Khosravian, 2014), Khorasan-e Razavi (Shojaei Hesari & Pashaei Rad, 2015), Ardabil ( Azimi & Pashaei Rad, 2017), Mazandaran ( Babaei, 2018).
General distribution: Asiatic parts of the Palaearctic from Iran to Japan, Australasian, Crimea, Greece, Oceania, Oriental, Turkey.
