Syntypes. Nine, Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia (ANSP) 11324, 14758–65, collected by S. Bernad. Downs (1967: 105) designated ANSP 14762 the lectotype.
Typelocality. From “high land about Zacualtipan.”
Distribution. Found in cloud forest in San Luis Potosi, Hidalgo, Puebla, and Veracruz, Mexico, above 1500 m elevation.
Species group. latifrontalis ( Downs 1967) .

Remarks. Downs (1967: 108) synonymized Rhabdosoma longiceps Cope with G. mutitorques .
