Brazos Pocket Gopher

Geomys brazensis was recently split from G. breviceps ( Bradley et al. 2023) View in CoL and can be found in southwestern Louisiana. Additional research is needed to determine the distribution of this species in Louisiana. Several new specimens have been collected in

this region since Lowery (1974), however no parish records were reported.
