Biennial 1-15 cm, branched from the base to give a caespitose cushion-like habit. Cauline leaves lanceolate. Flowers 4-merous. Calyx-lobes unequal in width, the two wider not enfolding the others; sinus acute. Corolla 10-20 mm, purple or whitish. Capsule distinctly stipitate. • C. Appennini. It.
