+ Gr: Greece: E Makedonia, Agion Oros, Athos peninsula near monastery of Filotheou, 40°13'N, 24°17'E, 300 m, road verges in mixed forest, a member of the Nemoralia group collected by S. Charalampidis, P. Dimopoulods, Th. Raus & A. Strid, 14 Jun 2023, Strid & al. 61507 (B, UPA, det. Th. Raus). – This species is new to Greece but not unexpected. It is known to occur in Albania ( Barina & al. 2018: 292, sub G. schultesii ) and Bulgaria ( Assyov & al. 2012: 203; see also Marhold 2011d +). In the past, it was long known under its later synonym Galium schultesii Vest. The Athos plants match well the respective neotype collections of G. intermedium ( Krendl & Vitek 2008: 169, fig. 1) and G. schultesii ( Krendl & Vitek 2008: 170, fig. 2). Th. Raus
