139. Ficus lawrancei Standley. Publ. Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Bot. Ser. 17(2): 172. 1937. TYPE:— COLOMBIA. Boyacá: lower río Chapón , 100 m NW of Bogotá, 914 m, 8 June 1932, A. E. Lawrance 175 (lectotype, designated here: F–708523F!; isolectotypes: A–00034520!, F–705159F!, F–1499329F!, G–00438296 [digital image!], K–000512011!, MICH–1115113 [digital image!], NY– 00563808!, S–07–9332 [digital image!], US–00090148!).
Nomenclatural notes:— Standley (1937) described this taxon indicating Lawrance 175 in F as the holotype. There are three sheets of this collection in F, each of them bearing its own label and they are not cross-labeled (Art. 8.3), suggesting that all sheets do not constitute a single specimen. We designate F708523F as the lectotype because it represents the most complete and diagnostic specimen.
