Nomenclatural notes:— Herter (1940) described this taxon based on a Herter collection in “Herb. Berl.” (B). After reviewing material at B, we weren’t able to locate the sheet associated with this name. It is likely that the sheet was destroyed during World War II and no other original material was found. We designate P06753528 as the neotype, which matches with the sublanceolate and cuneate leaves described in the protologue.
