Nematus hyperboreus Thomson, 1871: 127–128 .
Amauronematus coracinus Lindqvist, 1959d: 14–15 . Holotype ♀ (BMNH), not examined. Type locality: Switzerland, Valais, Arolla. Synonymy by Benson (1961b).
Diagnosis
Most similar to E. anthracina , but in E. hyperborea the pronotum and tegula are black and the hairs on the head and thorax are somewhat longer.

Palaearctic. Specimens studied are from Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
