Material examined. 8♂, CHINA, Hubei Province: Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture , Xuan’en County, Qizimeishan National Nature Reserve ; 29.9782 ‒30.0168 °N, 109.7031‒ 109.7186°E; elev. 800‒900 m; 27‒30 June 2023; C.H. Hu & M. Wei leg.

Diagnosis and Description. See Zhu (1998).

Remarks. This species shares the same somatic characteristics with Episunus nanyue Yin, 2012 , including dark brown carapace with 3 pairs of light brown lateral markings, brown markings on legs, and pairs of transverse black lines on posterior part of opisthosoma ( Fig. 21A, B, E, F, I, J ). Therefore, this species is likely to be conspecific with E. nanyue . Further research is needed to conclusively resolve this question.

Distribution. China (Hubei).
