Type locality. Denmark, Copenhagen (“Habitat Hafniae Mus. Dom. Lund”).

Material examined. Kiel coll. 1 male, lectotype (abdomen missing); 1 male (head, abdomen and left forewing missing).

Identity. Epinotia abbreviana (Fabricius) ( Olethreutinae , Eucosmini ) ( Karsholt and Nielsen 1976).

Remarks. The lectotype was designated by Karsholt and Nielsen (1976).
