Comments

Hayat (2012) states that the species name Encarsia orangae nom. nud. was published without a description and a type depository, as well as with unrecognisable photos and illustrations ( Raina et al. 1996). While Hayat deems the species unrecognisable and ultimately places it incertae sedis, we find that it does not meet the criteria of availability set forth by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) and deem it a nomen nudum.
