Subgenus: Elachista View in CoL ; bifasciella View in CoL species group.
Distribution: Palearctic. Kyrgyzstan.
Larval host plant(s): unknown.

Remarks: Report of E. subnigrella Douglas from Kyrgyzstan (Kaila 1992: 184) is referable to E. tephrina Kaila, 2015 ( Kaila 2015c: 317, 318).
