Diolcus chrysorrhoeus (F.)

Wheeler (2012) reviewed the few previously known hosts in reporting this scutellerid from fruits of the dioecious shrub Florida rosemary ( Ceratiola ericoides L.; Ericaceae ) in scrubs, such as the Lake Wales Ridge, of peninsular Florida. Small numbers of adults were collected from Brazilian peppertree in Lee County, Florida ( Cassani 1986), and during surveys of arthropods at Fort Pierce (St. Lucie Co.) and Immokalee (Collier Co.), Florida, without reference to stages observed ( Bhattarai et al. 2017). We found only one adult ( ♂) during our survey of Brazilian peppertree: Manatee County west of Sandy on 22 November 2019.
