Recognition Characters. Elongate oval; second segment of funiculus longer than the first; piceous in color with cretaceous macula flanking scutellum; middorsolateral fascia of cretaceous scales on elytra; interval one of elytra with short stiff crosshatched setae like piceous scales in rear quarter with a shorter contiguous vitta of short, truncate, cretaceous scales to apex of elytra; mesepimeron densely clothed with clavate, cretaceous scales, derm piceous.
Description. Male. Length: 3.9–7.0 mm (mean = 5.44). Width: 2.1–3.7 mm (mean = 2.87). Head. Large, round; nude dorsally; punctures small oval; with anterioventral macula of short clavate decumbent cretaceous scales; eyes large finely faceted; frons 0.20 as broad as head across eyes; not as broad as base of rostrum; nude. Rostrum. Length 2.3–4.5 mm (mean = 3.34), 0.62 as long as body; cylindrical, sides subparallel, gradually tapering to apex, gradually emerging from head; nude; with two lateral carina lacking middorsal carina; slightly arced; scrobe ventral; scape inserted past midpoint. Antennae. Length: Scape 1.70 mm; funicular segment one 0.40 mm, two 0.55 mm, three 0.30 mm, four 0.20 mm, five 0.20 mm, six 0.20 mm, seven 0.20 mm; club 0.75 mm; funicle 1.60 mm; scape longer than funicle; vestiture of narrow, elongate, decumbent white scales with few semierect long setae near apices of each segment; club elongate oval, clothed with fine, decumbent, piceous setae with a few longer setae, not as long as funicular segments four through seven combined. Thorax. Length: 1.4–2.1 mm (mean = 1.74). Width: 1.6–2.7 mm (mean = 2.14 mm), 0.81 as long as broad; disc almost as broad as base of elytra, sides subparallel, broadly rounded to constriction; impressed laterally; disc slightly convex in lateral view with basal declivity around scutellum; punctures small, deep; disc nude except for small basolateral macula of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; base somewhat sinuate; mesosternal intercoxal process very prominent, securiform with dorsoanterior corner projected up; scutellum moderate, as broad as long, nude, piceous; mesepimeron densely clothed with clavate, cretaceous scales; mesepisternum nude; metepisternum with posterior macula of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; anterioventral macula of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; Elytra. Length: 2.6–4.4 mm (mean = 3.47); striae deep, punctures with short narrow, decumbent, testaceous setae; humeri prominent, rounded; intervals flat clothed with narrow, elongate, decumbent, piceous scales; macula of clavate decumbent cretaceous scales flank scutellum; middorsolateral fascia on intervals two through ten of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; crosshatch setae on interval one semierect on apical one third sharp and piceous with a linear macula of short clavate decumbent cretaceous scales. Legs. Hind femur length: 2.1–3.4 mm (mean = 2.76 mm), exceeds apex of abdomen, tooth medium, acute apex, with sublateral short apical carina, base with proximolateral sulcus from base to club; pro and mesofemoral tooth small; all femora piceous, clothed with narrow, elongate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; tibia straight, clothed with elongate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; pro, meso, and metauncus large, longer than tarsal claw; tarsal segments clothed dorsally with elongate, decumbent, cretaceous scales. Abdomen. Sternite one longer than two behind coxal cavity; sternite two ascending to three; sternites one and two with moderately deep central declivity; sternites three and four same length, four with acute apical margin, combined longer than sternite five; sternite five with truncate apical margin and central declivity; sternites one and two clothed with lateral macula of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales, short bifid cretaceous scales medially. Pygidium . piceous with proximal fringe of cretaceous setae. Genitalia. median lobe of aedeagus 1.4 mm in length 0.3 mm in width, shorter than apodeme ( Fig. 24 View Figs ); sides subparalell, thickened medially, narrowed toward bend forming slot shaped opening; broad apex curved to small nipple at distal apices.
Female. Length: 7.0 mm. Width: 3.8 mm. Rostrum. Length 6.0 mm. Prothorax. Length: 2.1 mm. Width: 3.0 mm. Legs. Hind femur 3.6 mm, exceeding apex of abdomen. Abdomen. Vestiture of sternum with bifid scales ventrally, laterally with broad clavate decumbent cretaceous scales. Spermatheca . Ramus and collum undifferentiated, cornu thick tapering to apices ( Fig. 26 View Figs ).
