Gender. Masculine.

Type species. Cretavus sibiricus Sharov, 1957 (male?), by monotypy.

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The other sex has not been recognized.

Distribution. Palaearctic. Fossil: Upper Cretaceous.
